Emma Watson says she dreams about her Harry Potter character

The actress played intelligent witch Hermione Granger for eight movies in the popular family franchise. She feels a deep connection to the role and was sad to leave it behind after shooting wrapped on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Even though Emma relishes new acting challenges, she has fond memories of the years she invested in the Harry Potter movies.

"Sometimes I dream about her [Hermione], I imagine adventures for her. It's really hard to leave the world of Harry Potter. It was my family, we all lived together,” she told Madame Figaro magazine. “Harry Potter was my cocoon. I am gonna have to find a new universe.”
The 21-year-old beauty has become close friends with her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. She hopes to remain in touch with them after they have moved on from Harry Potter.

“Daniel Radcliffe is a lovely boy, generous and energetic,” she smiled. “It's kind of strange, but the bond which unites Harry, Ron and Hermione has reflected in real life.”

Emma Watson feels inspired by Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts

The actress dreams of following in the footsteps of the Hollywood legends. She admires the versatility of Natalie and Julia, and finds it easier to identify with them rather than a glamorous icon like Marilyn Monroe.

“Marilyn Monroe was melting, like Ava Gardner, both were the beauties of the Hollywood golden age,” Emma told Madame Figaro. “All this sex-appeal, this glamour. But I do feel closer to natural actresses, such as Natalie Portman or Julia Roberts."

Emma’s next role is playing a wardrobe assistant in new movie My Week with Marilyn. She has also landed a part in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The 21-year-old is keen to continue testing her acting skills. She has a wish list of directors she would love to work with.

“Of course, a host of directors attract me: Darren Aronofsky, Baz Luhrmann...," she added.
